Umoe Mandal is a shipyard specialized in designing and constructing composite material structures.

Established in 1989, it has modern facilities, tailored to this work.

The shipyard has received international recognition for the Oksøy class Mine CounterMeasure Vessels (MCMVs).

The nine Oksøy class vessels delivered to the Royal Norwegian Navy are based on the Surface Effect Ship technology.

Currently six Skjold class Littoral Combat Crafts (LCCs) are being manufactured, with delivery to the RNoN 2010 and 2011.
