Breakthrough in the US for Umoe Mandal

Umoe Mandal has been awarded a contract from Textron Marine & Land Systems (TM&LS) for composite components for the Ship-to-Shore Connector (SSC), the U.S. Navy’s next generation air-cushioned amphibious craft. TM&LS is leading a team responsible for the detailed design and construction of an initial SSC Test and Training Craft, with options for an additional eight (8) craft. Work on the Test and Training Craft is scheduled to be complete by February 2017.
Phase 1 of Umoe Mandal’s work has recently been started pending final clarification of scope and final contract. The parties have now signed the final contract, and the potential value of this contract including options can be 180M NOK.
Delivering high-performance composite components in the international market is a cornerstone of Umoe Mandal’s strategy. The US market is a top priority market for the company, and as such a contract of this magnitude represents a major breakthrough in this market for Umoe Mandal. Umoe Mandal is proud to have been selected by TM&LS for this important project.”
